ACCEPTABLE SOURCES OF REFERENCES
List of Designated Persons From Whom References Are Acceptable For CBGI:
- Attorney – at – Law (including State Counsel)
- Medical Doctor
- Member of Parliament (currently serving)
- Regional/Village Chairperson, Mayor/Deputy Mayor of Georgetown/Town
- Permanent Secretary or Deputy Permanent Secretary
- Head of Department of state agency (e.g. GGMC; GRA;GGB)
- Head of Department of reputable private entity/business (e.g. Banks DIH, DDL or any other reputable business regardless of size)
- Senior Officer of Joint Services (from Superintendent or Major)
- Principal/Deputy Principal of School
- Lecturer of Tertiary Institution (e.g. University of Guyana; Government Technical Institute; Nations University)
- Justice of the Peace
- Commissioner of Oaths to Affidavits
- Accountant
- Minister of Religion

Where letterhead is not used, a stamp must be affixed. References must be dated within a three (3) months period and addressed to CBGI:
