Alexis Paul is the Branch Manager who oversees, the Thirst Park Branch. She joined
Citizens Bank Guyana Inc., on July 12, 2021.
Alexis has over 30 years of progressive Banking experience from financial institutions in Guyana and Canada. Alexis brings diverse experience, expertise in Retail & Commercial Banking, Operations, AML – Anti-Money Laundering, and a focus on people development.
Ms. Paul has a passion for learning. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies from the University of Guyana. Alexis also possesses numerous credentials in Banking and Financing from Canadian Securities Institute, Ontario, Canada.
Alexis has been the recipient of several awards and scholarships from institutions such as IDB- Inter-American Development Bank, Commonwealth Youth Program Et cetera.
Throughout her career Alexis held managerial appointments both nationally and internationally while remaining a champion of community initiatives geared towards education and financial empowerment. She is an active member of International Literacy Association and the Vice President of All Star Canada, The Caribbean and Southern Africa.
Alexis uses her positive attitude to encourage others to work hard and succeed. She shares the philosophy of the late Nelson Mandela “Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated to and passionate about what they do”.
