Citizens Bank is pleased to advise that it will be implementing several temporary measures to assist its customers in dealing with the impacts of the ongoing pandemic:
  • The following relief will be granted to all customers:
    • ATM transaction fees will be waived for a period of 90 days.
    • EFT fees will be waived for a period of 90 days.
    • Payroll credit fees will be waived for a period of 90 days.
    • Late fees on loan payments and credit cards payments will be waived for a period of 90 days.
  • The following relief will be granted to Credit Customers on a case-by-case basis:
    • Deferral of loan installments for a period not exceeding 6 months will be offered to credit customers affected by the ongoing crisis.
    • During this period, restructuring of loans will be done for customers whose income is impacted by the ongoing crisis. Restructuring may include a moratorium on repayment of principal and interest and an extension to the repayment period.
    • During this period, working capital lines (overdrafts) support will be determined and provided for customers whose income is impacted by the ongoing crisis.
    • Fees associated with the restructuring of loans and working capital lines (overdrafts) will be waived for a period of 90 days.
To qualify for pandemic related relief, a credit facility MUST have been in ‘good standing’ meaning the facility must be active (performing) at the beginning of the pandemic in Guyana.
